pains

There is nowhere to go but up.
Lakeville resident Larry Simpson, founder of the South Coast Silver
Sachems over-40 lacrosse team can take heart that next year will
be better. It just has to be.
The Silver Sachems wrapped up their inaugural season with a
0-8 record.
This was a foundation year, Simpson said. Though
I thought wed be better. We were in a tough division. We
couldnt really measure success with wins. Our intangibles
were enough. We had to settle for moments, a good quarter here,
a good half there. No one got disappointed or discouraged as the
year went on.
The Sachems are part of the Olde New England Lacrosse League,
which includes, among others, The New Hampshire Bald Eagles, The
Sudbury Olde Patriots, The South Shore Stragglers and The Winchester
Silver Foxes. The team played their home games on Tuesday evenings
from late June through mid August at the new football field at
Bridgewater-Raynham High School.
Our team is a collection of men with considerable lacrosse
experience who have said, heck yeah, I can still play
Simpson said earlier this season.
